T.G.I.F at Westfield Doncaster

Last Saturday i sat through a 2-hour revision lecture with the honey bear to accompany & to show him some support for his upcoming exam revision. It's his last semester at uni & he's feeling really stressed out about the upcoming exams, commencing Thursday. Having to sit through a lecture on a Saturday & to listen to the lecturer talk about stuff which i know absolutely nothing about is tortuously boring, so i alternated between playing Wheel of Fortune on the laptop & helping the honey bear out with notes taking. After the lecture ended at 4pm, we headed off to T.G.I.F at Westfield Doncaster for a late lunch early dinner kinda meal.

Apple Pie Mocktail. T.G.I.F's beverage menu introduces it as a piece of traditional apple pie outta the old granny's apple pie recipe, topped with smooth whipped cream, & finished with thick caramel sauce. When this apple pie mocktail 1st arrived at our table, i thought to myself: hmmm, doesnt look like it's gonna impress. But oh boy i was so so wrong!! This tall glass of mocktail, though lacking in eye appeal, tastes amazingly yummy! Exactly like a slice of apple pie with a thick THICK layer of crumble. Absolutely fantastic Remember to order this baby when u dine at the T.G.I.F! There're also others such as strawberry cheesecake mocktail^^

Honey bear ordered New York Strip & Deepfried Battered Shrimps, served with mashed potato, steamed vegetables, & Jack Daniel's BBQ Sauce. The honey bear didn't really like the Jack Daniel bbq sauce because he found it too sweet for his liking. He also didn't really enjoy the piece of steak, he felt the taste was lacking.

I ordered Chicken Fillet with Deepfried Battered Shrimps, served with Fries (i requested for fries instead of mashed potato; i'm crazily in love with fries!), steamed vegetables, & Jack Daniel's BBQ Sauce. Me on the other hand loved my order! I'm 200% a chicken fillet lover; i really only eat chicken fillet meat & no other parts of the chicken, so i was really glad that it was a thick (though rather small portioned) piece of chicken fillet! I also loved the Jack Daniel bbq sauce to bits; i'm not sure about it eaten with steak; but it definitely complemented the piece of chicken fillet VERY well:)
