Movenpick Ice Cream Boutique

Last Saturday we were at Doncaster Westfield Shopping Centre to refund a modem router that was unsatisfactory. We paid 319 for it but set up was a problem (i had to call up their operation centre to ask for their assistance & set it up manually) and internet speed was at snail's pace (it functioned worse than our previous modem router). How frustrating is that? Totally unacceptable. So anyway, after we returned it, we came across Movenpick & decided to pamper ourselves to some sweet treats. The staff who took our orders happened to be a Singaporean so we started to engage in some small talk & he informed me it was their first day in operation. There were no grand opening specials whatsoever but the staff working there were very friendly and helpful.

I ordered 1 of their waffle sets, which came complete with 2 waffles, some strawberries, choc fudge/sauce, & 2 flavours of ice-cream. I requested to change 1 of the flavours; i'm not a very chocolate person, & 2 of the ice-cream flavours were choc! The boss (i'm not sure, he could be the branch manager or franchise boss, but he did look Swiss) said to me in a joking manner "arh, you're trying to change my menu" and we both laughed it off. I changed 1 of the flavours to MINT (my all-time favourite ice-cream flavour)^_^

I love waffles (esp. the Belgian ones; ohhh so yummy) but i find myself having more pancakes most of the time because Pancake Parlour is EVERYWHERE & because waffles are more of a rare sight  as compared to pancakes. Cafe menus also often feature pancakes for breakfast (don't even need to go to Pancake Parlour) but not waffles. It's such a pity because waffles make an awesome breakfast choice! If there's a Waffle Parlour/Waffle House/Waffle Cottage (something along the lines of Pancake Parlour), it's guaranteed I'd also be 1 of their regulars❤ The waffles I had at Movenpick were good, BUT they lacked the buttery & sweet maple syrupy/sugary aroma that Belgian waffles often have. Waffles are different in their own ways (not all pancakes taste the same) so I'm not going to fuss about that. The mint ice-cream was AWESOME! Very very creamy & oh-so-minty. I'm not an ice cream person so whenever any one offers me vanilla/chocolate/ strawberry/chocolate chip/cookies-&-cream etc. ice cream, I often reject; but when I'm offered mint ice-cream, I find it ever-so-difficult to say "no" (the other ice-cream flavour I like is yam; I like the fact that the ice cream is purple in colour, but I dont see that flavour anywhere here, *sobs*).

Honey bear ordered some ice-cream combo, i think there was vanilla & strawberry ice-cream, some choc fudge, & sliced strawberries:)

Last Saturday we had amazing weather, felt like summer all over again, but this weekend we had much cooler weather. It's the last weekend of the autumn season & it's coming to an end soon. Saying goodbyes to Autumn is so hard, it's my favourite season of the year. But Winter's coming in full force, so keep warm! And...
