Japanese Fried Rice

I cooked fried ricePhotobuckettoday, Japanese style. I'm not sure what a plate of traditional Japanese style fried rice looks and tastes like; but I labelled my version 'Japanese' because I used items from Japanese brands. It's a silly way of coming to conclusions about something (I know...), but please do forgive my ignorance, and close one eye!Photobucket

My refrigerator was emptied of food (this happens ever so often!!) and all I had at hand were rice, eggs, and heaps of sauces (especially chilli sauce!). I could have made some egg fried rice, but that'd have been way too boring. So I decided to make lunch more interesting by adding in furikake and japanese mayonnaise!

So first, crack the eggsPhotobucketinto a bowl, sprinkle some salt, and beat it well. Fluff up the overnight rice and set aside. Heat pan on high heat, add in some olive/peanut oil (I used sesame oil because we ran out of oil too!!). When oil is heated up, reduce to low heat, pour in egg mixture, and let it set for a minute of two. Then use the frying stick to quickly break the omelette up into smaller bits. Push omelette chunks to the sides of the pan. Then add in overnight rice in the middle of the pan. Spread the rice evenly across the pan and let it heat for a minute or two on medium heat. Fry rice and eggs together until well mixed and after rice is heated through. Reduce heat to low. Sprinkle in the furikake (I used seasoned cod roe & pickled green leaf vegetable furikake ~ thanks Ochi for the info!) and mix well with the egg & rice. When that's about done, squeeze in mayonnaise (i used  Kenko Ofu brand mayonnaise) and mix well again. Remove from heat when that's all done and servePhotobucket! Try serving it with some Japanese Vegetable & Fruit sauce (from the Bulldog brand), it tastes yummy! Photobucket

Hey ^^ It's Kim ^^
For Liz Liza stuff, unfortunately if you want real Liz Lisa stuff the only way to get it is from a shipping service in Japan. The other sites like sweetgyarushop and kumimakiko all sell fake Liz Lisa. Liz Lisa states on their site that they only sell their items in the stores listed on their site and their own webstore.

A popular shipping service is shoppingmalljapan which has fees that aren't too bad. Rakuten is also a good option to use as well, not sure about the fees because I haven't used it before. Hope it helps!

You can make everything and anything look nice!

And you can even cook when you have no more groceries, how amazing!!

Hehe, why aren't you in Sydney so I can move next door to you and eat your food everyday. :)

I just came back from a bit of shopping in the city and had korean food for dinner. Super yummy!

Very tired now, probably gonna talk to my friend for a bit before sleeping.

You have a good weekend okie? ♥♥

Wow, it looks so tasty! I always add the eggs last when I cooked fried rice, simply because my friend said so & I have never cook fried rice before at that time. I shall try to fry the eggs first then add the rice later, looks so good!
